Welcome to RedKin (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the RedKin mobile application (the “App”).
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
To provide our life-saving emergency blood coordination and localized donor matching services, we collect certain personal and device information.
A. Personal Data You Provide Voluntarily
- Account Information: When you log in via Google Authentication or create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a unique user identifier (
uid). - Profile Registry Data: To participate in the network, you manually provide your Blood Group and your Mobile Phone Number.
- Note: We do not run automated SMS verifications; phone numbers are self-reported by users strictly for direct emergency peer-to-peer calling.
B. Location Data (Critical Functionality)
- Precise Geospatial Location: To power the Radar Map and calculate distance metrics to matching blood donors during a medical crisis, the App requires access to your device’s precise location services (
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATIONandACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION). - How it is used: Your location data is used strictly to calculate proximity boundaries between requesters and potential donors. We do not track your location in the background when the app is closed unless explicitly authorized for active emergency broadcast tracking, and we never sell your location history to third-party advertisers.
C. Device Contacts Directory
- Contact List Matching: To help you build your Secure Network Directory, the App allows you to sync your device’s local address book.
- Privacy Safeguard: Phone numbers from your contact list are cryptographically hashed locally on your device using SHA-256 before being cross-referenced with our secure cloud registry. We do not store your friends’ raw phone numbers or upload their personal contact sheets to our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data strictly to run and secure the RedKin ecosystem, specifically to:
- Operate the real-time peer-to-peer Nearby Radar map.
- Allow instant native telephone dialing between requesters and willing donors during a live broadcast.
- Establish private, secure coordination circles for families, neighborhoods, or workplaces.
- Maintain application security, verify user identities via secure social handshakes, and prevent fraudulent emergency alerts.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
RedKin is a secure utility app, not a social networking or advertising platform.
- Peer-to-Peer Visibility: Your self-reported name, blood group, and proximity distance are visible to nearby users searching the Radar Map or responding to active emergency broadcasts. Your phone number is only exposed to a peer when a communication link or chat bridge is explicitly initiated for emergency coordination.
- No Third-Party Monetization: We never sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data, phone numbers, or location histories with third-party marketing networks or analytics brokers.
4. Data Retention and Deletion Rights
We retain your information only as long as your account remains active within the RedKin network. You maintain complete control over your data:
- Account Deletion: You have the right to request the permanent deletion of your account at any time. You can trigger this directly within the App settings tray or by contacting us via email.
- Immediate Purge: Upon receiving an account deletion request, your associated profile document, phone number records, location markers, and chat histories will be immediately and permanently purged from our live Firestore databases.
5. Security of Your Data
The security of your data is extremely important to us. Your profile, communication lines, and database documents live inside a secure cloud server environment utilizing industry-standard transport encryption and strict server-side security access rules to block unauthorized data leaks.

Our services are not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we discover that a minor has provided us with personal details, we will delete it from our systems immediately.
